What is IP Skunk?
IP Skunk is a free, no-sign-up network diagnostic tool with a nose for the truth. Its purpose is simple: spray the facts about exactly what the internet sees when you connect to it. No stink, no secrets, no funny business.
In a single page load, IP Skunk sniffs out your public IPv4 address, your public IPv6 address (if your network has the nose for it), an approximate geographic location based on your IP, and a full whiff of your browser and device settings as seen by web servers.
Who is it for?

What does it show?
- Public IP (IPv4 & IPv6) — your network's externally visible address, detected by making dual-stack requests to separate endpoints that make each protocol fess up independently.
- Geolocation — country, region, city, postal code, timezone, and coordinates estimated from your IP. This is approximate and can be significantly off — turns out even skunks lose their way sometimes.
- Browser & device info — a nose-to-tail rundown of your user agent string, language preferences, screen resolution, timezone, color scheme preference, and more — all read client-side by your browser without any server involvement.
